Hi, I’m April! I’m a User Experience Designer with a skill set of user research, design strategy, information architecture, interaction design, UI design and usability testing, who dedicated the last 6+ years on improving human x business x tech relations.
I have a passion for innovative design, solving problems with an approach that’s both creative and analytical, and developing elegant, well-researched solutions for (complex) digital projects across multiple platforms.
I believe meaningful, delightful and engaging design can power the future of our culture!
I achieved my MFA in Interaction Design at California College of the Arts – CCA – where I started practiced Transdisciplinary Design and worked at design agencies, Extractable (San Francisco) and Rice5 (Hong Kong).
My works are part user experience design, part UI design, part strategic thinking, part product design, part experimental interactions. Happy clients include Bank of Oklahoma, Central 1, Energy Upgrade California, Marcus & Millichap, Europ Assistance and Generali Insurance, Stanford Healthcare, Keynote System, Samsung, SONY, Adidas, DisneyABC and Yahoo!
When I'm not working or planning my next travel adventure, you can find me sketch noting at Design + Tech meet-ups, snapping photos of everyday life moments, dancing at music festivals, running with EDM-chill wave music, or on my yoga mat.
Fun fact: I love going to live music shows and music festivals and dress up festively, you’ll find some kind of LEDs on me. I like late 90s early 2k music! I participate in Cosplay, I have been a cosplayer and a photographer taking cosplay photos. My MFA final thesis is about Cosplay, explore the meanings behind Cosplay and its design opportunities.
