This is a transdisciplinary design strategy project.
Our team starts with the pain point from dog owners. After conducting surveys, market research and competitors analyzing, insights led to our concept: SPOT

SPOT's mission and user pain points:
Dog owners like to film and record the activities they enjoy with their pets, but a traditional hand held camera only provides a limited point of view—that of the pet's owner.
In addition, these cameras are often unsuited to the activities enjoyed by most dogs: running, chasing, swimming, rolling and tussling.
Storage, transfer and organization of video files can quickly turn a fun activity into a technical headache. This creates a barrier that make it harder for people to create, keep and share their memories.
There is no community to connect people who like to make and watch pet videos.
SPOT's vision:
A service that combines a unique dog's point-of-view camera with handheld, PC and online tools for viewing, organizing and sharing pet videos.
Users can remotely activate the camera, allowing them to control recording from a handheld device, or through a web interface.
Users would share their videos online, creating the definitive place on the internet for dog videos, and the only place to get a dog's point of view of the world.
SPOT's value:
•We believe that dogs are important members of the family.
• We want to enhance the connection between people and their pets by giving new and unique insight into their dog's life.
• We believe it should be fun and easy to share your pet's life/memories/activities.
• We believe that dogs of all kinds are equally important - lap dogs, service dogs, show dogs, family dogs and working dogs.
• We believe that there is a lot to learn from seeing things differently.
Following are SPOT's brand experience workbook, including positioning, brand attributes, identity and system map

This is the UI embedded in the SPOT system
The wireframes and application structure explained how the product works, helped the team further develop the product
First draft UI showed in the final presentation
We made an user experience video shows the product's need and usage, and a little touch on the emotion.
