Personal Works, 2011
Role: Storyboard | Directing | Videography | Photography | Editing
Time frame: 1 week

This is a Cosplay(costume play) video based on a Japanese animation: AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day
I love the animation and had the idea of the video, then did the storyboard; prepared the props and costumes with my cosplayer friends in China. The video is shoot in Guangzhou, China, June 2011, published online in July 2011. It's the first time ever I made cosplay video / cosplay in moving images, we had a lot of fun. Up to now, the video got over 24,000K viewed on a major Chinese online video site where it first published, TUDOU.

It won the Best Anime Music Video in China Joy Cosplay DV contest 2012.
Thank you, everybody!

Anime Plot:
A group of six childhood friends drift apart after one of them, "Menma"(girl in white dress in the video), dies in an accident. Ten years after the incident, the leader of the group, Jinta(guys in red T-shirt in the video), has withdrawn from society and lives as a recluse. One summer day, the ghost of an older looking Menma appears before him and asks to have a wish granted, reasoning that she cannot pass on into the afterlife until it is fulfilled. Since Menma does not remember what her wish is, Jinta gathers his estranged friends together once again, believing that they are the key to resolving this problem. However, hidden feelings, internal conflicts, and lingering feelings of bitterness from Menma's parents result in complications for the group as they struggle to help not only Menma move on, but themselves as well.
