Ettore Sottsass turned the conception of people towards machine, which is large, cold and scary into fun, friendly, sexy and witty. His de- signed architect and objects could make audience smile and laugh. On the other hand, Andrea Branzi wrote in "The Work of Ettore Sottsass and Associates" about Sottsass's friend ship, "Barbara Radice writes that Ettore doesn't even know what friendship is...They rest on joint participation in a tough battle of ideas..."

HAVING ONLY FUN is named after Sottsass's quote "Memphis is like a very strong drug, you cannot take too much... It's like eating only cake." (1986 Chicago Tribune article). This is a fun-oriented online social network, users post every entry base on the fun they had, having, will have and want to have, or fun things they found. It is colorful, funny and makes audience smile.

- All the new feeds from the site users, types of fun are differed by color, and level of fun is differed by the transparency of the color

 

User profile page:

• - Customize profile picture: upload photo + choose shapes; each color represents different type of fun. By looking at the profile picture, it tells you what type of fun you has/cares the most.
• - How fun you are is determined by other users' rating to each of your entry. The more "fun" others rate you, your color block grows bigger; inverse, the more "bored" others rate you, the more white/grey color space you have.
• - This profile page provides an overlook of what type of fun person you are, and whether you are considered as a fun person or not among your friends or other web users.
• - In this demo page, Justin is pretty a food fans plus expert, as well as a romantic guy, maybe plus outgoing, because he seems to hang out a lot.
